Manny Calavera, a travel agent for the dead, is on a quest to save Meche Colomar, a pure soul who deserves a ticket to heaven. In year three, Manny becomes a smuggler captain, but his ship is attacked by his rival, Domino Hurley, who works for the evil Hector LeMans. Manny and his mechanic, Glottis, escape to the ocean floor, where they meet Chepito, a wandering soul. Manny follows him to a sunken ship, where he finds Meche and Domino inside a giant pearl. Manny rescues Meche, but they are captured by Hector’s men and taken to a secret base. There, they learn that Hector has been stealing and selling tickets to heaven, while the good souls are left to wander. Manny and Meche escape with the help of a rebel group led by Manny’s old friend, Salvador Limones. They board a submarine and head to the Edge of the World, where the gate to heaven is. However, Hector follows them with a weapon that can destroy souls. Manny must stop Hector and save Meche and the other good souls.
