Well, a lot of this is down to what I like to refer to as "Micro-Dynamics".

I'm not talking about general dynamics within a song - i.e. play softly in the verse, and then louder in the chorus. I'm specifically talking about "micro-dynamics" within your bass lines, grooves and fills.

It's soooo easy to overlook these, or even worse not even know that they exist!

So, I thought it'd be cool to show you 3 great exercises I use with students to help them really master these and get them into their technique and bass playing.
