The game shifts from the backyard to Brookhollow Park, a location three times the size of the original backyard, with new biomes like an ice cream spill and a spooky anthill.

The original teens return: Pete, Max, Willow, and Hoops.
While attending a celebration in Brookhollow Park, a strange explosion shrinks them again.

Grounded 2 continues the story of the four teenagers shrunk to insect size, now navigating Brookhollow Park, a much larger environment than the original backyard. Two years after the events of the first game, they face new challenges, including a mysterious explosion, separation from BURG.L and Dr. Tully, and hostile bugs. The core gameplay loop of survival, crafting, and exploration remains, but with the addition of rideable insect mounts called "Buggies" and a persistent, unseen threat that expands as players explore.

Now separated from BURG.L and Dr. Tully, the group must survive hostile bugs, uncover the cause, and find a way to return to normal size.

The teens are shrunk again after a celebration in the park, separated and needing to find a way to return to normal size while uncovering the cause of their shrinking and the new threats within the park.

A new mysterious enemy is teased—leaving graffiti and possibly stalking players. Their identity remains unknown for now.
