Groundhog Day! - Let's Play: Animal Crossing - Ep. 9
94Happy Year of Animal Crossing GameCube on this channel! I've been playing through one Animal Crossing game each year since 2023. The first year was City Folk, last year was New Leaf, but now it's time for my introduction to the series to get its time in the spotlight!
I first played AC GameCube just over 20 (!!!) years ago, and to this day it is still one of my favorite games ever. There is something about the charm that just oozes out of this game that nothing else can ever come close.
We also have added in a little something extra to this play through with RetroAchievements! This amazing site adds in fan-made achievements sets to your retro games, so while we'll be playing Animal Crossing like normal we can also see how many achievements we unlock. As much as I adore the first Animal Crossing (at least in NA), it is looking a little crunchy graphics-wise, so we're using some HD Texture Packs and a little modding to make the game look a little more modern.
