PVP Live: So, a long requested feature in Overwatch has been the ability to group up with the random people that you meet along the way in both quick and competitive play, especially if you find that team that you just click with.

Well luckily, that's being rectified in a future patch, as Jeff Kaplan dropped a little tidbit about it at the end of the Symmetra rework video released today.

Kaplan said "We've added a small social feature to the end of match screen, It's a small button that just says Group Up. What we've added it for is those times when you've been really successful with the team but you aren't friends. If all or some of the people in the group click on the button, the game will put you in a group."

Previously, there was no way to make this happen aside from manually inviting someone to a group, which sometimes would take too long, or you might have forgotten to get the person's name by time you got out of the queue.

Definitely a nice quality of life change that will make grinding for loot boxes and competitive ranks a little easier when you're looking for a pick-up-group player that needs to be on point.

Kaplan says he's not sure exactly which PTR patch this will drop into the game on, but to be on the lookout for it when it does.
