PVP Live: Amazon is doing something decidedly different this December. The Amazon Appstore will play host to a new event called the Champions of Fire Invitational on December 2nd - but this event isn't your ordinary esports event.

Instead of esports staples like Dota 2, League of Legends, or Street Fighter V, this event will play host to mobile titles of a decidedly more casual variety, namely the new Fruit Ninja Tournament Edition, Pac-Man 256, Disney Crossy Road, 8 Ball Pool, and Bloons TD Battles.

All this in the name of creating an esports series that's for everyone, or "esports for all," as the series' tagline suggests.

The tournament will bring 16 of the world's most influential gamers together to decide who's the best mobile gamer, and will be livestreamed on Twitch from the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

The players who will be competing for $100,000 are Brian Kibler, Boxbox, lolRenaynay, Professor Broman, and more.

Focusing on a more casual audience is a different tact for an esports event to take, with many events focusing on specific fanbases - so this event has the potential to introduce a number of casual gamers who have been playing these games on cell phones and tablets to the concept of esports.

Not only will the event be livestreamed on Twitch, highlights of the competition will also air on the CBS Sports Network on December 12 from 7-9 PM EST.
