A step-by-step guide to Credit Griding in Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 is great game. I've been playing it since midnight the day it came out. It's a great, accessible racing game that sits nicely between my favourite arcade racers like Sega Rally, and the hardcore stuff like iRacing and Assetto Corsa I play on my full sim rig.

But the in-game currency and finances suck. Hard. Cars are expensive and rewards are poor. And let's not get started on the roulette wheel.

If you want to own every piece of content in the game you're going to need to have put some serious hours in. I'm at 100% on the Licenses, Missions, Music Rally, Circuit Experience, all Cafes and Championships. My total drive time is over 300 hours. But even after all of that I was at less than 50% of all of the cars collected, and many of those missing were the really expensive cars. Like many of you I have a family and a full time job and many other commitments. I couldn't hope to play the game enough to be able to afford all of the content.

But there is another way, rather than sitting grinding the same races over and over. A.F.K, or Away From Keyboard. It's a method of setting up a race where you only need to start it up and then walk away to win and earn credits. You only need to come back every so often, usually 30 minutes, to restart the race and go away again. You can potentially earn over Cr.1,000,000 per hour this way.

I'm not saying you shouldn't play through the game properly as you've paid to play it after all. But there are limits on all of our available time. Time is precious, and we shouldn't be wasting it trying to grind credits to buy the 17th iteration of a Toyota Skyline.

So here is my complete step-by-step guide to setting yourself up with AFK. The first time you do it will be a pain in the backside which is why I've done this guide. But after doing it once it's easy to repeat and earn big credits.
