GTA 5 Simulation - Unreal Engine 5 Lumen Global Illumination and Reflections for GTA V
Simulating Unreal Engine 5 effects for GTA 5, Lumen is the new completely dynamic global lighting and reflections technology in Unreal Engine 5, built for next-generation consoles. Lumen is Unreal Engine 5's default global lighting and reflections system. At ranges ranging from millimetres to kilometres, it provides diffuse interreflection with infinite bounces and indirect specular reflections in vast, detailed scenes.
Lumen introduces strong dynamic global lighting to Unreal Engine for the first time and works well with other UE5 compatible systems such as Nanite. I am trying to generate similar effects if not exact in GTA V. Lumen is a dynamic diffuse indirect lighting solution. For example, light bouncing diffusely off a surface takes up the colour of that surface and reflects it onto other surrounding surfaces; this is known as colour bleeding. Meshes in the scene also prevent indirect illumination, which results in indirect shadowing.
I'm attempting to demonstrate through this channel "Squander Lobby", all the possibilities that GTA 5 gameplay can have in terms of graphics enhancements making it much better than the next GTA 5 expanded and enhanced version. This includes Ray Tracing, Screen Space Global illumination, Enhanced lighting, improved visuals, photorealistic gameplay.
