GTA San Andreas - The Definitive Edition (PS5): Boat School Glitch Exploration
Before we begin, I recommend having the Boat School completed to all gold's so you get a convenient boat spawn.
The boat school glitch from the original San Andreas returns in the Definitive Edition. And it's mostly the same. To perform the glitch, head to the Atrium in Los Santos. The Atrium door is odd in the fact that when you enter, the door swings behind you. So while it's swinging, aim a weapon (like a pistol) and quickly turn around to leave before the door closes. If you were quick enough, you'll be outside the Atrium, but still in the interior world. So now, navigate your way to Boat School. It's a long flight but the interior universe behaves a bit differently in the Definitive Edition because cars seem to be visible now. So I recommend spawning a jetpack and flying to the nearby Police Maverick. That makes the process so much quicker than the original (just make sure you fly high to avoid invisible objects). However. Entering a vehicle will mess up the map in the pause menu completely. The lack of map makes the navigation process much more annoying but it's still easy enough to get to the school.
Once the test screen pops up, exit out. You'll soon notice that you (and all the nearby pedestrians) fall through the ground. Swim over to the nearby boat (which is why you wanted Boat School to be complete because otherwise there would be no boat) and hop on and spawn yourself another jetpack. After you're back in the Jetpack, fly to Caligulas Casino. Outside of a few specific areas, everything in the game world will be unsolid. What's also odd about this glitch is that all the interiors spawn up above, but they're all invisible.
in this video, I take a quick detour to Doherty in San Fierro. The interior for the garage spawns in the regular world in the Definitive Edition (whereas in the original it spawned in Interior Heaven E. After that I collect the misplaced Bribe that's right nearby. Typically it's hidden in a building so you can't conveniently collect it.
But the reason you want to get to Caligula's is bizarre. For some reason, ascending with your Jetpack above the casino will allow you to break the normal height barrier. It may take a while for the Jetpack to actually get above the limit, but eventually you will. The spot I go to in the video is actually pretty consistent in letting me break the height limit strangely enough. I used to think it was luck, but when I go to the spot in the video it works every time.
Eventually you'll see the people and some props that are in the invisible Caligula's interior. It's pretty odd to see. But that also means you're back in the universe and can fly to wherever you desire. I choose to fly to Sweet's interior (which is placed high above his house in the regular world). Note that wherever you fly, the map will not be any help.
After I enter Sweet's House, I discover that the jetpack actually works. In the original game, it stops working after entering most interiors. I fly to the invisible Johnson House and Ryder interiors just for fun (I can not enter either because they have no unsolid walls unfortunately). I use this opportunity to fly to where most safehouse interiors are spawned to see if I could get to the unused motel rooms. But shortly after reaching the Hotel Suite interior, the jetpack dies.
Before ending the video, I show off the hidden Airport interior for fun using the same Boat School glitch. What a cool interior.
Two important notes: to enter an interior via Boat School glitch, it must have an unsolid section on the interior, otherwise you won't be able to enter. Sweet's House has a huge unsolid wall, which makes for easy access. But Ryder's doesn't, which means you can't enter this way.
And lastly, I wouldn't save after doing this. Even after wasting CJ, the map was still glitched. I had to reload.
