4i love blood doors, especially the visual suspense of them, the blood covering the window so you cant see what lurks behind it, the blood crusted on the seams of the door that open like you're opening something that could take a bite out of you, the monstrous screams and the pounding on the door.
not the hardest mechanic but it does put a mandatory strain on resources due to the hybrid spawn, and its just so cool to have a reverse alarm. i like that they set off scouts in the room they spawn from, so its an alarm from not just the door but also other places youve been. really excellent horror gameplaywise, and R2B1's interrupted comms remain as one of my favorites so far.
