A quick performance comparison benchmark between a GTX Titan X 4 Way SLI (Maxwell) & the brand new Titan X Pascal 2 way SLI (which are about equivalent to a GTX 1080 Ti SLI).
Watch in the highest quality. VP9 support is required to see options above 1080p60.

Both graphic solutions were overclocked to their maximum.
Important : this is not representative of below 8k performance difference (4k for example) or in general as the 4 way SLI would be bottlenecked pretty hard or be underutilized.
Only games with great scaling were chosen in order to compare the raw power of both solutions.

Due to limited time and an OSD problem I encountered I had to just going with screenshot comparisons on Crysis 3, Dragon Age Inquisition and GTA V.

Here are the graphic settings used for these games :
Crysis 3 : 8K no AA Very high - Shaders & Post Processing on high
Dragon Age Inquisition : 8K Ultra no AA
GTA V : 8K no AA Ultra - Grass on Very high
