Guilty Gear -STRIVE- - Arcade with Unika
1Oh boy, it's been too long since I last played this game... Also, is that you, 2B from 'Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising' (and 'Soulcalibur VI')? I mean, Unika's Japanese VA should be super familiar for those who are into fighting games (plus a whole load of other stuff, including non-fighting games, anime shows and much more).
By the way, did you know that this game's Arcade mode has a secret ninth stage which can only be accessed by defeating the Extreme Route boss on stage 8 without losing a single round? (Granted, it's okay to lose a match here and there on that stage. Just make sure not to lose any rounds during that particular match.) Even then, in order to reach that Extreme Route stage in the first place, one must not only clear the first stage (which is set to Hard by default) without losing a single round, but also clear stages 2 to 7 without losing a single round (and mind you, that's no easy feat as I've tried multiple times now with multiple characters). As for what one should expect from the secret ninth stage? If you ask me, it's SNK Boss Syndrome. (And here I thought those Boss Challenges in 'The King of Fighters XV' were challenging enough.) What's more, by clearing the secret ninth stage, one can witness an ending that's totally different to the other endings.
Speaking of endings, for the record, this game's Arcade mode has four endings for each character which are dependent on difficulty/performance. The first ending can be obtained on the Normal Route (which can be accessed by losing on the first stage). The second ending can be obtained on the Hard Route (which can be accessed by winning stages 1 to 7 but losing a round in all of them). A third ending can be obtained by defeating the stage 8 boss on the aforementioned Extreme Route at the cost of losing one round. Finally, there's the previously mentioned fourth ending which, for obvious reasons, is the hardest one to achieve.
So yeah, who knew that Unika (who's actually a newcomer from that 'Guilty Gear -STRIVE-' anime adaptation which is ongoing as of this writing) would be the one to clear this game's Arcade mode with flying colors for me? (I mean, yeah, I lost a round during the secret ninth stage, but let's face it, I'm basically going up against the 'Guilty Gear -STRIVE-' equivalent of Shin Akuma/God Rugal in 'Capcom vs. SNK 2', and we all know how notorious those bosses are even by today's standards. And yes, cheesing the AI with exploits and other unconventional methods is as valid a tactic here as it was back in the CvS2 days.)
