Guilty Gear Strive (BETA): Potemkin Online Battles (1/3)
I only played Potemkin for the entirety of the Beta, so don't expect to see other characters from those fights.
Also PS4 recording is as usual kinda crappy, enjoy 720P / 30FPS.

TOUGHTS ON POTEMKIN:
Potemkin is almost the same as his Xrd counterpart but he also feels really different compared to it just because of how some of his main tools got changed: HammerFall Break is so slow that you can't really use it upclose to continue pressure but on the other hand HammerFall in itself isn't punishable on block anymore so you can kinda just throw it out if you so feel inclined, similarly Potemkin Buster is still a really powerful move but they changed the range to the point that it's pretty much a super close range move only unless you do the new KaraCancel that is possible from 6K, then the range kind of goes back to the previous one but not fully.
Slide Head is still your go to move to give you a chance to close the gap and keep the opponent in check but your Break being so slow makes it kinda hard to utilize properly, even if they made it so that HammerFall can genuinely go the entire length of the screen.
Gaiganter Kai is completely different Super from Giganter EX, from a short range mirror that does ton of Stun damage to a Reversal that can also create a slow moving projectile that is hard to stop or counter, it's a pretty good "win neutral" move.
All in all Potemkin feels like Pot but he is definitely a lot less mobile and more slow and tanky like you would expect from his design.

GENERAL TOUGHTS:
Game is definitely different, feels like GBVS with Guilty Gear sprinkled on top, the identity of the game is all over the place but the gameplay itself doesn't feel bad for sure, it just feels "confused".
With the right tweaks the game could be quite good but as it stands, it kinda feels messy, you probably already heard all kind of thoughts about it, like damage being too high and the changes to airdashes and the UI and whatnot, i mean it's a beta, its hard to create a proper review, so I'll wait on a future update to say more
Actually there is one thing i can say for sure, graphics, animation, music and sound design are absolutely out of this world but that is literally the only easy thing to point out and be sure about... Still, there you go.
[I start on the 4th Floor as i didn't record the tutorial and first "Skill check battle" the game offers you. Basically i had to beat up a CPU and that was a way to confirm my Skill Level, which made me start on the 4th Floor.]
