I always wanted to showcase this, especially due to being a "raining stage".
Ambient noise / Background sounds is/are something that is often overlooked when it comes to video-games but i think it's quite the important piece if you want the player to properly immerse into the setting.
Anyway, i figured i could showcase a classic and soothing ambient sound, rain.

The OG CB2 actually doesn't have much going on, it's either game sounds or the rain, the "secret Stage" and the Bonus Stage don't have any sound, which make for an interesting experience, still the rain is pretty nice and the "distance effect" when you go inside where there is no rain is pretty cool.
the NST version is instead quite amazing, having sounds even in those stages, such as the waterfall when you get close to it, the sound of the wind or the flying platforms.
Overall i think NST has the better sound design but it's not strange, we are talking '97 vs '17 after all; that said, enjoy the sounds.
(Also my PC is quite not great so the frame-rate isn't exactly smooth, i hope in the future i can get a more powerful PC and run everything more clean when i record)
