GundeadliGne - Standard - Chapter 3 - All Alter Breaks and Bosses
(Please start from my first video's description if you want to learn about how to play on Standard)
Area 3A
There isn't really any trick to getting the Alter Break in this Area. Just make sure to destroy the wheels with your Mana Action so the bullets get cancelled, and deal with each wave as fast as you can so the next one appears sooner. For someone like Eryth who has limited Mana Actions, aim her orb so that it can kill more than one wheel at once. The Area bosses, Noel Blanc and Camel Clutch, require no real advice at this difficulty.
Area 3B
The 3 mechs at the beginning can be a real time-waster if you don't know what you're doing. Either shoot them from behind or use a bomb to kill them quickly. Escada is a pushover if you've been managing your Phase Level correctly, and the next wave can be dismissed with a few well-placed Mana Actions. Now Mandra Core is where you will be getting all your gems for the Alter Break. Focus your fire on the rocks rather than the actual boss for a short while, and then play as normal. Your biggest danger here are the pillars of fire if you have a high Phase Level, so pay all your attention to those. Bombing here might be a good idea if you have good bomb regeneration.
Area 3C
Here comes Fallen Uriel, one of those massive bosses where you have to destroy several sub-sections in succession. You have limited time during this entire encounter, so you'll have to work fast. For the tail Assiah, this section doesn't give much gems, so I would recommend using a bomb here to speed things along. For the belly Yetzirah, this section shoots an easy-to-avoid bullet pattern and fires missiles all day long, so you can stay here until you get your Alter Break, if you want. If you're like me and want to beat every boss though, you can just grind until you need 100 gems more, and then focus the boss down.
Next up is the front, Briah. It provides very little friction and has a lot of health, so this is the perfect time for a good bomb or two. The final section Atziluth is probably harder to deal with at lower Phase Levels, but provides a decent amount of friction. If you haven't gotten your Alter Break at this point, you should use a bomb and try to get to the bonus enemy waves.
Area 3D
Babelforge is where you will want to collect all the gems for your Alter Break. As long as you don't care too much about score, you can just blast your way through with impunity. If you are going for chains, make sure you keep the time remaining in mind. For Ayesha, time Eryth's Mana Action orbs to pass through her shields, and then continue to time orbs into her during the Phase Shift slowdown. Finally for Michael, get the Phase Shift to activate on the objects to the left, and then attack her directly for the victory.
