Two officers were grazed by gunfire, and a suspect was killed in a shootout on Detroit's east side near the intersection of Davison Freeway and Riopelle Street on Monday afternoon. Witnesses reported hearing initial gunfire from a handgun, followed by police returning fire and a subsequent rapid burst of gunfire resembling that of a machine gun.
