After their previous game, Pyre was released, Supergiant Games was interested in making a game that would help open the development process to other players. Then on December 6th 2018 at The Game Awards, they unveiled their next game titled Hades, a top-down roguelike title that takes place in Greek mythology, after it was released on September 17th 2020 on Switch and PC, it was Supergiant’s big breakout hit, selling over 1 million copies, and winning numerous awards, including game of the year, with outlets considerate it one of the great games of all time.
