Hagane: The Final Conflict - [ 05 ] - Stage 5: Into the Darkness ···
Rasetsu makes his final appearance and fight against us and... He's still a pushover.
But I like the start of this stage, just getting swamped by enemies is kinda fun - and destroying them all.
The stage itself gave me horrible flashbacks of The GG Shinobi with the multiple doors stuff but apparently all doors lead to Rome so it was just a case of looking the same but not being the same. As I discovered when I played in Hard mode, apparently you can backflip through the spinning metal blades also.
First Miniboss is annoying. Not the train but the floating guy. Not hard, just annoying.
One thing I have to say: Thank CAP for not making spikes insta-kill...
Always when I read Shurb-Oh, I think of the final boss from Quake 1.
Whose named after a Lovecraftian Mythos creation I believe, or at least inspired by one.
And then, we the final boss and here I will relent.
This boss is just bullshit.
Amano-Ikazuchi. It's not even fun. Just climb as fast as you can and spam whatever long range weapon you can. If there's anything good to be said about this boss, is that it can teach you how to wall-bounce in new and interesting ways, which you can end up being forced to experiment with just to catch up with this space rocket.
Then when all is said and done, this game is okay, adequate. Mediocre fun. I recommend that you get it, but don't expect NiNjA Gaiden. The game is also not as Hard as others make it out to be, but, your mileage may vary depending on what you are normally used to in terms of game difficulty and NiNjA style games - so while this was easy for me, it may be supremely challenging to you.
And if you have difficulty in beating this, here's my words of Encouragement:
" Courage and Hope - Go boldly Forth. "
