【Blind Run】【60hz】So, this game dropped, and I liked it enough. 7.50€ ain't too much of a price tag, really, even though the low price usually tells more than it wants, as in, the game is short, or at least, like in this case here, thin and repetitive.

And low and behold - it looks like a highly randomized, highly customizable game, but you can't even (re)name the characters, nor are they randomized in any way. Look at Catherine of Sky's LP, or Aavak's, and they got the exact same characters.

Worse, the progress is clearly gated - you won't be able to have a vastly different setup than what the game wants you to have, unless you grind and waste a lot of resources prematurely.

The rest is basically wasting your time in general, with low drop rates, lots of RNG, no control over what your characters really do out in the field, and a general lack of polish all over.

For example, the menus. Instead of getting told how many of a certain items you have that you want to craft, you have to remember that from another menu. It's all so clunky and once more wasting lots of time, in dire need of streamlining.

All in all, I can't say if I'd suggest this one. It's cute and all, but just like with Graveyard Keeper, this certain, very narrow railed line of game design suits you, or it doesn't.

What you really can do individually is very limited, outright gated and curated experience rather than an adventure, and given that the game (maybe not promises but) at least invokes a certain amount of freedom that you then don't get, the only freedom you have is to waste resources into something that doesn't benefit you.

The alternative there is to waste tons of time researching and keeping an eye on everything.

If you like what you see, by all means, it's currently launch discounted. But if you assume anything beyond that, you might be in for a rude awakening, and maybe a slight helping of buyer's remorse.

You've been warned.
