I get past one area and we are back to old style military shooting game with some aliens thrown in the mix. If that was not enough, there is a boss now that don't die from being shot at, looks like the hydra alien.

This one maybe also requires going around activating switches before you can finally kill it or maybe just running past it would work but not in my case it seems.
