Missing Information contains a few maps from HL2 Beta, also including new weapons and how HL2 looked at it's prototype stages. Oh BTW, I hope you like the new opening! :D

Wasn't a perfect mod but it was the beta so I expect that. The Hyperborea was a nice little mappack containing Odessa Cubbage before he became a colonel. Used the Flare Gun, Iceaxe, and Fire Extinguisher for the first time in these maps, even though the extinguisher didn't work at times. Some of the battles were harder than others because the OICW is some weapon to master in this mod, and I mostly have to rely on the flare gun because it's one shot one kill, and it's effective on even the elites. These stalkers though, they're tough to kill! They're tougher than the stalkers from Obsidian! They run out fast and their laser vision brings quite a PUNCH! But I liked these maps, they were pretty fun. I was confused with the songs from EP1 and EP2 in here, since those two games weren't even thought of until a year after HL2 was released. I hope something similar to these maps will return again in HL3!

Now these beta maps, I gotta say, in the beta stages they're pretty hard to do. Combines bring quite a punch, as well as the Gunships. There wasn't much health lying around so that's probably why. In HL2 there was so much more health lying around. The first beta map with the G-Man, I knew I heard him say those things before on a past video, I didn't think they were from here. Funny expressions he did though, especially the last one when it looks like he's saying, "Hey, good lookin'." ;) And then finally after that came an area that we've all seen on the CSS video test. The level before the beta Ravenholm map I got stuck in because I didn't know where the exit was, same goes with the Ravenholm level when I had to destroy car wreckage. These beta levels are pretty tense I may say. The terminal level was simple at first but once I got on that thing that had me cross over the plaza and to the next area, I didn't know there was a button. The rebels ambushing a bunch of combine troops in the plaza would've been great for HL2, I can't believe they scratched that part out! It would've shown that there are people fighting back instead of being miserable.

There are alot of things in HL2 beta that should've stayed in HL2. The Hydras could've stayed, the combine guard could've stayed, even the Combine Asssassin could've stayed, and the Cremator, and certain City 17 levels that contained people working in factories (doesn't have to be children). And finally, the Strider level could've stayed. It would've shown how cool the striders were and how much they're tough in combat. The final rooftops level of the mod, was that in the beta too or was that just a bonus? Anyways, I hope you enjoy this walkthrough. I know I did! Shows HL2 in a completely different fashion.
