So, across my three years of uploading Half-Life 2 and its expansions, you can chart my gradual slide into insanity by the fact that the playthrough starts as a proper commentary in hard mode and ends with a complete shitpost played out in Garry's Mod.

"It just feels to me like a complete and utter betrayal of what attracts so many autistic people to "Splatoon" in the first place. Like, you release a series of games encouraging free expression of self, we buy, play and love those games, make fan animations about them (which in no possible way could impact your corporate sales figures), then you shit all over us and murder our harmless source of comfort. I'm not kidding. There are literally hundreds of thousands of young autists who express themselves primarily through Splatoon fan animations, and some prick in a suit decides all of this must end. Makes me almost unable to like Splatoon any further, knowing that its theme of self-expression and artistic freedom is purely a lie in the face of its true purpose as a cynical tool for some coked-up investor to suppress people's freedom of expression with. No other company did this. Not even Capcom of GRRR WE HATE MODS fame. Not even fucking Disney, who extended copyright duration by 20 years solely for their own profit. Destroying an entire community of hundreds of thousands of fan animators purely out of spite. Don't give me this shit about "protecting their IP uwu" or "brand identity". You can't control fanfic or fanart. This is a battle that was already lost by Anne Rice about 25 years ago. Rule 34 applies, get over it.
You should try not to support a company that directly destroys its most loyal fan community and its projects which no way even impact profits, purely out of spite and a desire for cultural control.
