Half-Life: Blue Shift is the second expansion to Half-Life. Developed by Gearbox Software and published by Valve in 2001, it received a mixed reaction upon release. In this expansion, you are not playing as Gordon Freeman, but rather as Barney Calhoun, a Black Mesa security guard who was present during the resonance cascade. His goal is to escape the facility while fighting off government agents and the Xen forces. Half-Life: Blue Shift is available on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux for $4.99.
