Half Life, Hard, Episode 4: On a Rail in it's Entirety and Not One Slick! Seriously?
Now, I know what you're thinking. "But, Stone (SeashoresWall)! There are no scientists in On a Rail?" And, yes, yes there's no scientists in MOST of On a Rail, but you've forgotten about the satellite delivery rocket area, where there are four (FOUR!) dead scientist models!
Now, you'd think, logically, that if there's FOUR dead scientists and FOUR scientist models that they'd put one of each in, right? RIGHT? Well, you can tell from the title that that's WRONG!
There's an Einstein, a Luther and two glasses. TWO GLASSES! For God's sake, we get in Valve, you love Glasses! You loved him so much, you made him into Isaac Kleiner, but... do you have to show your love for him by putting him literally everywhere to the detriment of other scientist models? I mean... why even have FOUR scientist models if you don't want to use one of them? What's the point? Why even bother? Now, maybe I'd be less upset IF THIS HADN'T HAPPENED BEFORE NEAR THE TEST CHAMBER!
I mean, Slick was around, he was in concept art, he was in original versions (though, he had red hair at the time). Why develop the lad just to underuse him in favor of Glasses? Don't get me wrong, Glasses is an alright scientist model, I like all the scientist models, but Slick deserved better than this. He really did.
Anyway, we do On a Rail this episode. Which is good, hate this part of the game. Turns out the best way out of On a Rail is to leave the train.
