I remember when the demo of Half-Life (called Half-Life: Uplink) came out in February 1999, blew my mind. The scripting, the character's mouths moving, the story, the interactive elements from Duke3D but the technology of Quake, it was amazing. This browser version was quite impressive in some ways, ran better than on my old PC but not great, the sound effects were a bit messed up and it would stutter and hitch a bit, but I managed to finish it on Medium difficult in a short while. So yeah, not bad, considering it's free, in a browser and no install.
