After playing the tech demos it's nice to finally get to play in something considered a "beta" In saying that, this is the first look at theater mode and it definitely has some issues. But first I'd like to talk about the biggest pro of theater mode for me. In every Halo game with a theater mode you could view your own footage, free fly, and view everyone else's footage from a 3rd person perspective. This is the first game that lets me see every perspective from the first person without having to have everyone send me their footage. It makes making videos like this much better. So now let's talk about a couple issues I've encountered. 1.) Call outs will sound on everyone's perspective. For example say James gets a double kill. Tyler, Ricardo, and my views will all hear "Double Kill" in theater mode. 2.) If something happens to your body that causes it to vanish (fall to your death, disintegrated) there is a split second where it belongs your character no longer exists the camera perspective automatically switches to another player so you have to switch back. 3.) Occasionally the kill feeds will disappear without warning. 4.) Occasional delayed audio and video. James' footage is a good example. Where there are many times he'll shoot and the sound happens after. The video is much more noticeable, you might notice times where people are firing behind other players, missing every shot, and then suddenly they get the kill. In the game, that is not the case, just theater mode.
