Hammerin’ Hero (2009, PlayStation Portable) Gameplay Footage
This is a pretty enjoyable 2D/3D-ish side scroller for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). I believe in Japan this series is known as Hammerin Harry. Overall it’s a pretty fun game but I started on normal mode and died so much that I eventually went with the “Apprentice” mode (the Easy mode) route. He wears a construction helmet as a sign of my shame but this allows for more hits before dying. I was able to get familiar with the levels and complete the game this way. Maybe I’ll go through it again at the other difficulties to gather all the stuff and not have to wear the helmet of shame.
