I bought my Hannspree monitor back in July of 2008 and all the way until now the only thing that has gone wrong for me was the HDMI port. I bought a warranty when I got the monitor so it's still covered, but I'm still not sure what caused the HDMI to go bad. Either way, I still have no dead pixels, all the buttons still work, the speakers still work, and with all the times I've taken the base off, it's still not cracked.
If you don't already know, I use this monitor as my computer monitor and for my PS3. As far as the resolution for the computer, it is just awesome! The Hannspree 22" has a matte finish so you don't have to worry about fingerprints showing up and it is extremely crisp and clear. It shows very distinct blacks and whites and is just about the best you can get out of DVI.
The quality of the monitor through HDMI is just as good as HD can get! The response time is advertised as 3000:1 and that is pretty quick and it shows! If you're looking for a monitor to use for gaming for any system, and you're on a budget, I would say the Hannspree 22" is the monitor for you.
Before I purchased the Hannspree 22" I checked all of the local electronics retailers and compared the display quality and the features of all the monitors that they offered. When I was done, I came to the conclusion that if you take all of the features into consideration, the price can go up very quickly. As I kept looking I came across the Hannspree 22" and for the price, the features, and the display quality, I knew that it was the best choice.
If you're looking for a very flexible base, you might not want to get the Hannspree 22", because it doesn't offer the widest tilt range, but for normal desk usage, it should work perfect! Another thing is, if you're worried about the base not being the sturdiest or the strongest, I've got to give it to Hannspree because they did an awesome job on the strength and design of the base. The only thing that they could have done better with the design is make a wider range of tilt for the monitor.
Overall, I would have to say there isn't anything that I would change except the tilt ability. Other than that I think Hannspree got everything else right!
