Hard Drivin' [UNRELEASED GAME!] (NES) in FCEUX TX as a Wii VC Channel | saulfabreg Wii VC
6The UNRELEASED games are returning to saulfabreg Wii VC! Here in this video we are showing our new NES Wii VC game/inject/channel which runs the game in the emulator FCEUGX-1UP / FCEUX TX (uses the homebrew emulator FCEUX TX as its emu core), for ensure 100% compatibility with the games, unlike original VC emulator which doesn't have good NES games compatibility on Wii! Yaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!
In this video we are playing our new Wii VC iNJECT of the NES game "Hard Drivin'", originally developed by ATARI Games in 1989 and then converted to NES by Tengen for the NES console.
This NES version was supposed to be launched in 1990 by Tengen, but it was cancelled, possibly because the NES conversion of the original arcade game didn't overpass Tengen's quality standards.
But why they decided to cancel it, really? In my opinion, this conversion looks quite decent, it had a playable framerate, even when incomplete it was pretty impressive to see that game on NES, with 3D rendered vehicles and ghost, tracks, and other stuff!
This was considered lost, but in 2009, the website Lost Levels had an interview with one of the programmers of this NES version, Mark Morris, about how did he program this version and why Tengen decided to cancel it.
