The classic Atari arcade hit is back on SNES, now unofficially enhanced by the SA-1 chip! Here in this video we are showing our new SNES Wii VC game/inject/channel which runs the game in Snes9x TX (uses the homebrew emulator Snes9x TX as its emu core), for ensure 100% compatibility with the games, unlike original VC emulator which can't run some SNES games on Wii! Yaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!
In this video we are playing our new Wii VC iNJECT of the SNES game "Race Drivin'", originally developed by ATARI Games in 1990 and then converted to SNES by Imagineering Inc. and published by Tengen and THQ in 1992 for the SNES console.
It was the sequel of the popular Atari arcade game "Hard Drivin'", released one year earlier (1989 exactly), it featured three new tracks to challenge and get the championship title against many brave racers.
This SNES version was awful because of the extremely poor framerate (3-4 FPS...), so it was considered as one of the worst SNES games... until now. Cause in 2021, 19 years later after the SNES version got released, Brazilian romhacker Vitor Vilela made the game run at a smooth 30 FPS framerate and made the game finally playable on the SNES, thanks to his efforts on using the Super Accelerator 1 (SA-1) chip for speed up the game, and some additional code for retain the original game's speed but with the smooth 30 FPS framerate, making this game the best conversion to play!
