The often-overlooked, sadly underrated Hardball 5 by Accolade has such an awesome soundtrack. Here is part of it.

This is the track that plays in-game. It's pretty odd to hear background music playing while there's play-by-play going on. Hardball 5 was right at the transition between Arcadey Baseball and Realistic Simulator, so it does it about half-way. Regardless I think it's a neat tune, I like the little bits of Take Me Out to the Ball Game it drops in.

This one loops nicely. Also sometimes, in the game, instead of starting with the big guitar chords, it will start with the part around 2:04 where the organ melody comes in. But it's the same song. I'm not sure how it loops itself like that. You can do those tricks with some MIDI sequencers where they can do an intro and then return to a coda and loop around, like in Sonic 2's Emerald Hill Zone (which has an intro bit that only plays once and the song loops to a different coda), but it's a bit trickier with a rendered track like these are. Anyway, it's a great soundtrack for an often overlooked game. I hope you enjoy it, and my little technical thoughts and ramblings.
