Hardcore Mode is a new way to play video games! During the course of this playthrough, I will be undergoing some sort of self-imposed challenge throughout each chapter.
The following new challenges are featured in this episode:
1. Mario is only allowed to use Star Spirit attacks (no jump attacks, hammer attacks or items).
2. Mario must try to avoid all optional enemies. If he gets caught in a battle with an optional enemy, he must flee.
3. Only level up Flower Points.
