يعتقد الكثيرين بأن زرادشت أول من تحدث عن صعود الإنسان للسماء ،
إلا أن المخطوطات الاثارية الخاصة بالعراق القديم توضح غير تلك الاعتقادات
حيث نجد أسطورة سومرية يتجاوز عمرها 4000 عام تتحدث عن صعود الملك السومري إيتانا الى السماء ومقابلة الإله الأعظم قبل زرادشت ، وذلك لطلب نبتة الإنجاب.
وتتحدث الأسطورة أن الملك السومري إيتانا صعد على ظهر نسر عملاق بعد أن قام بعلاج النسر من لدغة أفعى ،
الغريب في الأسطورة يتمثل بوصف الأرض من السماء حيث تتطابق مع المنطق بشكل كبير ،
وتوضح قائمة الملوك السومريون في العراق بأن الملك إيتانا قد رزق بولد خلفه في الحكم .

The Sumerian Mi'raj
Many believe that Zoroaster was the first to talk about man's ascension to heaven.
However, the archaeological manuscripts of ancient Iraq show other than these beliefs
Where we find a Sumerian legend that is more than 4,000 years old, talking about the ascension of the Sumerian king Etana to heaven and meeting the greatest god before Zoroaster, in order to request a reproductive plant.
The legend says that the Sumerian king Etana climbed on the back of a giant eagle after he treated the eagle from a snake bite.
The strange thing about the legend is the description of the earth from the sky, which corresponds to the logic very much.
The list of Sumerian kings in Iraq shows that King Etana had a son who succeeded him in power.
