The first part of this video is an overview of the Mods I have installed recently (mostly texture packs) and also a notice to address the fact that if you are a serious modder or even intermediate Nexus Mod Manager is still better than Steam Workshop.

9:32 Onward is a clear(ish) guide on how to convert Steam workshop mods to you Nexus Mod Manager (so you can update them from Skyrim Nexus/ Nexus Mod Manager) I repeat it 3 times with 3 files I downloaded from the Steam Workshop.

Steam Workshop is great if you are a casual user who wants to try a few random mods and isn't bothered about changing the overall look of the game too much (texture packs are rarely esp files which are the only file types accepted on the Steam Workshop currently)

Also in order to load Steam mods you have to Start the game using the official launcher and not SKSE which a lot of advanced mods rely on (that require script changes within the game).

It can cause confusion where each mod came from having two systems so imo it's best to stick to one. Can you imagine after a month or two downloading numerous mods from both the Steam Workshop and Skyrim Nexus via the Mod Manager. It's easy to forget where each mod came from and end up updating a Steam Workshop mod using Skyrim Nexus/ Nexus Mod Manager. This creates 2 versions of the file an esp version from Steam and a BSA version from Nexus. These files will both load alongside your game and as you can imagine can cause major issues.

So in this video I show how to convert Steam Workshop mods to Nexus Manager mods, which I think is the best solution if you find a mod on the Steam Workshop that you cannot find on the Skyrim Nexus. It's quite simple to do and if you download a lot of mods it's definately worth it and probably worth sticking with Nexus Mod Manger too. Especially if you download texture packs like Skyrim HD 2k Textures, RWT (Realistic Water Textures), Vurt's Flora Overhaul etc (then it's pretty much a must).

I will be uploading another 1080p video showing Skyrim with the new Bethesda High-Res packs alongside Skyrim 2K Textures, FXAA Post Processing injector, Vurt's Skyrim Flora Overhaul, Realistic Water Textures (most ar WIP- Work in progress) basically trying to max out Skyrim even more, making it as realistic as possible. If you know of any mods to suggest then leave a comment. The more realistic the better.
