[HDR] The Last of Us Part II - Wasted Retribution [Part 58]
Read after watching: After everything you've done to get here, you decide to do some stupid stuff... This is the end. 9/10 for me though. Great stuff but this ending seemed to make most of the game feel like kind of a waste if she wasn't going to just go through with it after everything. Game hits a lot of good notes and looks AMAZING. Too bad it squandered the story a bit. I like all the characters to some degree though. People say that Ellie should've just moved on and gotten over things all ASAP, yet Abby had 5 years to do that and didn't...I couldn't find anything too likable about Abby for me, even if she was technically the bad guy. I liked her minor empathy for "whats right" when it came to saving the kids lives and how she became a friend to Lev but that's about it. I like that Ellie wasted no time in going to get her revenge so she could be done with it. You see Ellie open up more and see her more (mostly with Dina) human side throughout the game though even though she's narrow minded in her quest most of the time. That being said. i really liked Dina. She really didn't have to do anything she did. She certainly didn't even have to go as it seemed they weren't even that close until the scene in the growhouse. Idk why she went out of her way, but maybe for her and some other teens there in Jackson, it just didn't feel right being there.
