568He-Man Through the Years! It's like "Comparison Time" the box set! 🤣
This 40th Anniversary Origins set came out almost a year ago, but I'm just now getting around to opening it up.
The packaging is very creative, with the outer box looking like a television set (although very Eternian in style). It houses four slimmer boxes that are styled to look like TV Guide catalogs with some fun text.
I love that the cardbacks inside are in the vintage style, but inspired by the cardbacks of the various eras. Plus, collector friendly - so the figures slide right out.
The figures themselves are all meant to be inspired by their animation, but on the Origins body - meaning it's vintage MOTU scale/style.
Filmation He-Man head is decent. I wouldn't call it perfect, but decent. I actually like the NA head with that sweet ponytail. The 200x head is the same as the retail release. I wish it were a bit more animated looking. Netflix He-Man's head is huge. 🤣 But looks like the animation. I think it only feels that way because the body proportions are different than the show.
Vacmetal weapons are awesome. Vacmetal is always awesome. Even though NA He-Man sword should be translucent yellow/green. 😀
