The episode was a bit slow paced & dull at times, but that is to be expected with first episodes as they lay the groundwork. It may come off a bit cliche with the MC hiding the fact that he is overpowered, but it’s still a rather decent take. He doesn’t stand out too much but also doesn’t fully hide his skill. At most he just comes off as pretty laid back & trying to have a life after the war he grew up in. Which is understandable given his circumstances.
At the same time he is so well spoken that I’m pretty certain he’ll have almost all the girls wanting to be in his harem with those sugar coated words of his. I just find him to be too charming to the point of fangirling.
Many of the noble kids who are mocking Ray for being a commoner. Obviously are too spoiled and stuck on status. Much of what Abbie said in her speech likely went over their heads, as they are the ones who need to struggle the most in order to learn.
There isn’t too much to say about this anime so far as it’s only the first episode. The animation is decent & the music is pretty good. The transition of scenes isn’t too bad either. And we do get a character to dislike with Albert Alium.
Overall I would likely give this episode a 6 out of 10. I’m looking forward to what future episodes will give us. Till then you all can check out some of our other videos for topics you’re interested in, be it Action or Fantasy.
