The prequel to "When The Long Night Ended", "He Who Devoured The Dark" is a concept song about a character who ended the age of dark over a thousand years after the events at the end of Dark Souls 3, when the age of dark ended and the age of humanity began with a new kindled flame. This is also the reason why this song only hints at the style of music that Dark Souls has, since it is all about ushering in a new age.
