Doom 3, released for Microsoft Windows on August 3, 2004. Said by many to be the best graphics of 2004 or at least a close Second next to Half-Life 2, with Valve Corporation's brand new Source engine. The successor to their previous GoldSrc Engine. id Tech 4 and the Source engine ran circles around everything in 2004 and in my opinion, narrowly passed by F.E.A.R., Developed by Monolith Productions in 2005.
2004 Was A Strange Year For Horror Games. With titles like Silent Hill 4, Obscure, The Suffering, Kuon and Forbidden Siren”/”Siren (Depending who you ask, sense the game was originally released in Japan in 2003). Leading the charge was Doom 3. To some, a graphical master piece and to others a mere over glorified tech demo. Regardless of your opinion, it was hard to argue that Doom 3 didn't have a leg up in the graphics department. So join us as we take a trip down nostalgia lane to play the Original 2004 version of Doom 3. With it's dedicated flashlight slot and all it's glory.
