Heartwell is a 2D souls-like action RPG with cute retro graphics, platforming, and multiple endings being developed by Antomicx. A demo was released on PC on December 8, 2023, and a full release for this indie game will (most likely) occur years afterward. Heartwell is being developed in Clickteam Fusion 2.5.
In this Heartwell dev stream, I created and debugged custom fonts for the text blitter to work towards replacing the display strings that we used previously. Because the full screen rework made the text in the old strings look unusual, replacing the old display strings with custom fonts in the text blitter object will be a crucial step to supporting the screen resizing rework! Once implemented, these changes would be part of a future patch that will allow the Heartwell Demo to be playable in either windowed mode at 1X magnification or ultimate fullscreen mode at 2X magnification in order to increase visibility/readability.
