0Ethan takes a few tests in his psychologist's office. After doing so, the psychologist will talk to Ethan and tells him that he must find a way to move on and is not responsible for Jason's death. Ethan still blames himself for the death of his son. The psychologist then tells him that he is lucky to survive the accident. Ethan replies "I don't exactly feel lucky" and leaves.
Shaun asks to ride on the carousel as they're leaving. Ethan buys a ticket for Shaun and Ethan's vision begins to fade; he suffers similar symptoms as he did after putting Shaun to bed in a previous chapter, then blacks out. After waking from the blackout at the park, the player must react quickly to avoid a truck that will nearly run Ethan over. Ethan realizes hours have passed since he was at the park with Shaun; he races back to the park and frantically searches for his son. He finds Shaun's backpack but no people or sign of Shaun's whereabouts. Panicking and desperate, he runs home and searches the apartment. Ethan falls to his knees and realizes he is holding an origami figure; heartbroken, he yells Shaun's name and starts to cry.
After a period of waiting in the lobby of the police station, Jayden meets with Captain Leighton Perry, head of the Homicide Division, as he gets ready to attend a press conference. Next, the action shifts to Ethan, who reports Shaun's disappearance to Carter Blake and Ash and answers their questions about what happened at the park. As he leaves the police station, he runs into Grace, his ex-wife.
