Player friendly, rainy, dramatic, creative and fun.
Heavy Rain is a interactive drama action adventure game that first came out for ps3 six years ago but now we also have ps4 remastered version in Full HD and 60fps.
It is developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Computer Entertainment on 24 th of february 2010.
You play the game as multiple characters Ethan Mars as the father, Norman Jayden as FBI investigator, Scott Shelby as private investigator and Madison Paige as young journalist.
All of this four characters are conected to the same story and all characters have the same cause and that is finding mysterious origami killer who is killing young boys and leave them in wastelands.
Storyline is set in present and played in third person mode.
On the beggining on the game it can get really boring but as the story follows up it gets really intense
There are some things that will make you feel sad about what are all characters going through.
Now lets talk a little bit about characters
Ethan Mars is a father and loved husband who happily lived his life until his first son died in tragic accident.
Norman Jayden is FBI investigator whos specialty is investigating crime scenes but he does it diffrent then other agents he uses device called aded reality interface
Scott Shelby is a private investigator who is just trying to resolve the puzzle about origami killer and find who that man really is.
Madison Paige is a young journalist who suffers from nightmares and she cant stay at her home because of the nightmares so she rents a motel at night.
This game is great for players who like cinematic interactive and long story games if you love Telltale game series or Life is strange and didnt tryed this game its definetly for you.
Every choice you make in the game depends on your whole story and ending so that makes this game playble few times and you wont get bored with the same story again it has about 8 hours of gameplay which is pretty decent .
You cannot fail or die at this game no game over screen which makes this game look like a movie.
There is only good and bad choice to be made and that all depends on you and your mind and thinking.
Always keep your attention on the game or you will have some mistakes later it can be very intense sometimes.
There is only one thing that we didnt like in the gameplay and that is the lack of details this game gives you and sometimes you dont really know what to do but after a while you figure everything out.
Game doesnt have any map or objectives as we said its more of a cinematic movie thriler game.
Controls in the game are easy to follow up with amazing sixaxis interaction.
At the beggining of the game you have small tutorial which button is which for all actions in the game.
Great storyline probably one of the best in video gaming.
Music makes this game even more special with many dramatic songs and rainy environment
Voice acting in this game is decent.
Enhanced next gen console graphics makes this game look even more fun.
If you already havent played the game give it a try you wont be disappointed , you can buy the game separtely or with the beyond two souls.
Writer for both of these games is David Cage.
He is also founder of development studio Quantic Dream who won three awards at BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awrads for Heavy Rain.
