Heavy rainfall hit S. China, strands residents and disrupts railway network
20Rainstorms have been battering most parts of Guangdong since Thursday, causing the swelling of many rivers.
As the heavy rainfall is expected to continue, the provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters decided to raise the emergency response for flood control from level-IV to level-III.
China has a four-level emergency response system for disaster relief, with Level IV being the lowest and Level I the highest.
