Heavy Weapon (or Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank) is a horizontally scrolling shooter developed and published by PopCap Games and released in 2005.
Heavy Weapon is a game where the player controls the Atomic Tank to fight back against hordes of enemies. The player is equipped with the main weapon and nukes (which act like bombs). When the player collects enough MegaLaser items, the MegaLaser will be activated. MegaLaser acts as a Hyper system that can fire a powerful laser beam.
2 Players used: Atomic Tank (P1: Green, P2: Blue)
The Atomic Tank is the main protagonist in the 2005 side-scrolling shoot em' up game Heavy Weapon by PopCap . You as the player take control of the tank to blast away any enemies and bosses you encountered. The Atomic Tank is initially equipped with basic cannon to shoot the enemies and shield that can be enhanced by power-ups periodically to protect against enemy attacks (once the shield is gone, any contact with enemy projectile will destroy the tank. Also, some attacks bypass the shield entirely and destroy your tank.). Atomic Tank is also equipped with Megalaser that requires the tank to collect its four parts during the fight from destroyed enemies. Once all parts complete, it will unleash a deadly laser beam for a short time that will destroy anything instantly caught inside its beam. Atomic Tank can also call in nukes to destroy all enemies on-screen, which requires collecting its power-up when its occassionally dropped by friendly helicopter.
