After visiting some of my coworkers throughout Sin Inc., I meet up with the Chef of Hell to remind him of the Devil's birthday and to get started on baking the titular Hell Pie. Distraught he had forgotten about the event and fearing for his own existence with no time to source the most vile and disgusting ingredients needed to create such a dessert and prepare the dishes, he seeks my help, giving me access to a device called The Hellovator.

My first stop is InfernoMart, a shopping center plagued with lava pits and terrible customer service located in the recesses of the underworld where all demons and monsters go for their baking and food preparation needs. Here I have to find a box of Pie Crust Mix to make the disgusting desserts horrifying outer shell, along with a cherub named Nugget, which quickly takes a liking to me, even though I've enslaved him, chained him to my one of my horns and used his chubby pink body as a mace to dispatch enemies and break things in my way. Guess it's better then desk work.

Hell Pie is a twisted little hello to Conker's Bad Fur Day, with all the over-the-top gore, profanity, and craziness that comes from it. It also shares many qualities to a lot of other 3D adventure platformers such as Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and various others.

My rating for this game is: 6.7 out of 10

There are a lot of great things about it, like the large worlds and multi-level design with various ways to reach it's heights, plenty of secrets and interesting little details around, and quite a few references which I love. The characters are fun for the most part, and towards the middle of the game the interesting bosses finally start appearing. However, the premise of the game is just to reach the item you need and return to the hub world until you get enough to unlock the final boss, and the story is simple with very little twist. The beginning of the game is basic platforming and slow, with little bits of information here and there, but the majority of it is simply filler and training you how to traverse the terrain and special abilities. The bad is some of the mechanics, and this is definitely a controller game. It's almost unplayable with a keyboard and mouse. The camera is the worst part of this game and your REAL enemy. Turn all camera movement to manual, and no snap to center!
