Helldivers 2 Just Dropped A MAJOR Update & New Balance Concerns...
6,900Helldivers 2 just received its first balance patch, and there's a lot to unpack. Some good. Some, a bit concerning.
Here's the latest in Helldivers 2 News!
Arrowhead released a "minor" patch inlcuding new game features, fixes and balance changes. I tried to review through them all, and as of publication of this video, I have not tested any of the new changes. (As I haven't had time.) The major adjustments were made to the Breaker Shotgun, Railgun and Shield Generator Backpack, and I do plan to see how those have changed the overall gameplay feel. Other strategems and support weapons were buffed, along with quite a few in-game fixes.
Overall, I like where the studio is going with Helldivers, I just don't want to see the massive "fun factor" nerfed out of the game, all for the sake of stabilizing internal charts. Hopefully you know what I mean with that last statement, as I saw Outriders go through the same thing in the past?

HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.
