Helldivers 2 runs on a game engine that no longer exists. For this game to be its best, it has to make the move to Unreal Engine 5 and start from scratch. Using this game engine, they are not able to do the things that they want to do and the things they could do. They can't because of the limitations of the engine. Upgrading to Unreal Engine 5, they will be able to do things that they want to do, including the things the community wants to do.
