18My brother sent me a charpad design for a Warlords type of game for C64. A good time for me to dust off the Kick Assembler setup and get back into assembly for the Commodore 64. It's time for some coding with Jeffrey!
Now I know what some of you are thinking; "But Jeffrey, what about your Retro Brothers game Vulcano Towers?" So let me explain. My brother Nick got a daughter end of last year and I became a dad for the second time a little over 2 months ago this year. So things slowed down so much around the RPG, since the scope is so big and our time is taken up by quality family time.
So we decided to come up with a temporary smaller game that we should be able to complete fast. Small scope, simple game mechanics and something that isn't done over and over on the C64. And then we came up with the idea for a Warlords type of game!
It'll not be an exact port of Warlords, but we'll use it as our inspiration for the basics. So right now getting the graphics in place and getting the first bits of assembly written. And that's what our 1st episode in this new series is all about!
