Movie Summery -
Ten prisoners condemned to exile on a hostile planet XT-59 must pave the way through swamp to reach the Islands of Happiness, the only safe area on the planet, before the harsh climate or the underground horrors kill them all.
The planet XT-59 has a very harsh natural environment, a colony of people lives in a limited territory reclaimed from the swamps.
The system of government is based on total control. A group of 10 prisoners are sentenced to life in exile, as there is no death penalty on the planet.
But exile is actually a death penalty, as the chance of survival is too small. The exiles are thrown into the Sargasso swamp,
where there is no food or water, the few surviving exiles live, turned into half-animals.
