On September 12th, The Hollywood Reporter broke the scoop that talks with Henry Cavill over reprising Superman in a Shazam cameo had broken down, and that the door was closing on Cavill playing the role of Superman ever again.
Then, reports emerged that Warner may be more interested in a Supergirl franchise going forward, as well as reports that Michael B. Jordan is in consideration to replace Cavill as Superman.
In short, much confusion reigns.
In this video, @AndreEinherjar will try to bring some clarity to the situation, and add some much needed context. To do that he will first look into the past troubles for DC on film, and the behind the scenes issues which caused them, and how that all ties in with the current situation. Then, he’ll cover what the Cavill and Shazam conflict is all about, and how DC on film might evolve under new DC head honcho Walter Hamada’s rule.
